Dr. Lori Dougherty

DMFT, LMFT, LPC, LAT, SAP

As a mental health and couples counselor, I provide a thoughtful, personalized therapeutic experience for individuals and couples seeking meaningful and lasting change. My approach is grounded in collaboration, insight, and evidence-based care, creating a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout their healing process.

I specialize in helping clients identify and shift patterns that no longer serve them — including ineffective behaviors, limiting beliefs, relationship challenges, and struggles related to mental health and substance use. Together, we work to cultivate greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and deeper connection in both personal and relational life.

I believe therapy is most effective when it is tailored to the unique experiences, values, and goals of each client. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I partner with clients to develop practical tools and sustainable strategies that promote growth, clarity, and long-term well-being.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, and Licensed Addiction Therapist, I bring advanced clinical training and a multidimensional perspective to my work with individuals and couples. I have also completed Level 1 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, integrating research-based techniques to help couples strengthen communication, restore trust, and foster more connected relationships.

Lindsy Turgeon

CAPA

I began my education at the University of Wyoming before completing my Master's Social Work degree at the University of South Dakota. I am currently provisionally licensed and actively working toward full licensure as I continue to build my clinical experience and deepen my work with clients.

My journey into the field grew out of years as a stay‑at‑home mom—an experience that shaped my patience, empathy, and belief in meeting people exactly where they are. Those values guide my work at Step Stone Counseling, where I strive to create a space that feels safe, steady, and supportive.

I have a strong passion for supporting adolescents and individuals across the lifespan. I also find meaningful work in supporting clients navigating substance use concerns and co‑occurring mental health challenges. Life can often feel overwhelming, unpredictable, or emotionally demanding, and my goal is to provide a therapeutic environment where clients can show up authentically, explore their experiences, and feel genuinely heard and understood. Witnessing moments of insight, clarity, and empowerment—when things begin to “click”—is one of the most rewarding aspects of my clinical work.

At Step Stone Counseling, I approach therapy with warmth, curiosity, and respect for each person’s story. I believe growth happens one step at a time, and I’m honored to walk alongside clients as they navigate challenges and discover their strengths.

CURENTLY ON LEAVE (NOT ACCEPTING CLIENTS)

As a substance use counselor, I am committed to motivating individuals in developing fresh approaches and solutions with the focus of reaching healthy and productive goals.

My work focuses on helping those individuals to change persistent life habits that have resulted in negative consequences.

I prefer - but am not limited to - a motivational and solution focused approach that enhances an individual’s growth in changing behavior that stimulates positive reinforcement in maintaining positive change substance free.

Leslie Cundy

CAPA

As a group facilitator and ASI Specialist, I have been a proud resident of Wyoming for over 20 years. My family includes my wonderful husband and our two sons, who inspire me every day. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Black Hills State University and am currently completing my Master’s in Social Work.

As a Certified Addiction Practitioner Assistant (CAPA) in Wyoming, I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey to recovery. In my role as a facilitator for the SSC Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) and Recovery Maintenance groups, I focus on empowering clients to develop new strategies and solutions that lead to healthier, more fulfilling lives.

I believe in a collaborative approach, recognizing that each person's unique experiences provide valuable insights into their growth. Helping others is my true calling, and I draw from my experiences to offer strength and hope to those I work with. Together, we can navigate the challenges of life and work towards lasting positive change.

Lee Turgeon

My name is Lee Allen Turgeon, I was born in Ten Sleep and grew up in Wyoming, and like many from that area, I found myself working in the mining industry. While I haven't elaborated much on my early life or the details of my work in mining, it forms a backdrop to a significant turning point in my life: achieving 12 years of sobriety. This journey of overcoming personal struggle ignited a new purpose within me. I realized I wanted to leverage my experiences to help others facing similar challenges.

My formal education includes a high school diploma, and I've furthered my skills by becoming a licensed emergency medical responder. This desire to help has been a consistent thread, leading me to pursue peer specialist training. This path isn't just about gaining certifications; it's about finding a concrete way to "continue to help people that struggled the way I struggled." It feels like a natural progression, transforming my personal battles into a resource for others.
